Informed by Bruno Munari's Supplement to the Italian Dictionary (visually), Martha Rosler's Semiotics of the Kitchen (conceptually) and Saussure's semiotic model (methodologically), the project aims to revitalise Polari—once uttered but now disappeared Britain's queer language—through a form of glossary book. Recognising the current hyper-masculine visual representation in queer culture, which stemmed from the reaction of such delicate colloquial language, voyeuristic iconographies are paired with the archival language to better understand, remember and record the history.
