Sion Kim (he/they) is a graphic designer specialising in editorial design and publishing, often working with images, texts and ideas. With the photographic, typographic and material sensibilities of book design he developed throughout his BA Graphic Design course at Camberwell College of Arts, his work reconciles unheard voices or marginalised thoughts to the public. His long-term creative enquiry focuses on the paratexts and embodied punctuation within printed matters that establish a deeper, tangible, tactile communication. In his work, the relationship between sender and receiver is often not unilateral; instead, he consciously leaves room for free interpretation by neutralising the tone. Under his motto of 'reading as curatorial experience', his design decisions are acutely evaluated and executed—from macro to micro level—to embody each project's message and aesthetic value at the finest level.

Currently based in London.
